Revanth Reddy Expresses Discontent with Tollywood; Chiranjeevi’s Reaction

Date:

The honorable Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, has openly expressed his disappointment with the Telugu film fraternity for not responding to the government’s decision to rename the ‘Nandi Awards’ to ‘Gaddar Awards’.

This decision, announced in January 2024, was met with applause from the media and fans. However, the actors and producers of Tollywood have largely remained silent, which Mr. Reddy criticized as irresponsible.

Veteran actor Chiranjeevi quickly responded to this accusation. At a recent event honoring Padma awardees, Chiranjeevi, speaking on behalf of the Telugu Film Chamber and Telugu Film Producers Council, expressed his support and happiness for Mr. Reddy’s initiative.
