The Indian Navy is gearing up to present its formidable maritime capabilities at the upcoming Operational Demonstration (Op Demo) on Navy Day, December 4, 2024, at the picturesque Blue Flag Beach in Puri, Odisha. This year’s event will be graced by President Droupadi Murmu as the Chief Guest, marking a significant celebration of India’s maritime heritage.
The Op Demo is an annual spectacle aimed at raising public awareness of the Navy’s multifaceted roles while honoring India’s rich seafaring traditions. The 2024 event, set against the pristine coastal backdrop, highlights Odisha’s historical maritime legacy and deep-rooted ties to the sea.
To ensure a seamless experience, the Indian Navy is collaborating with the Odisha state government and local authorities. Special seating arrangements will allow spectators and tourists to witness the live-action demonstration. For those unable to attend, the event will be broadcast nationwide on television and streamed live on the Indian Navy’s YouTube channel.
