Pushpa 2 Producers Cut Ties with Devi Sri Prasad

Date:

Music director Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) indirectly expressed his frustration towards the producers of Pushpa 2 during the Wildfire Event in Chennai. In his speech, DSP made a pointed remark, stating that the producer often complains about his late arrivals but doesn’t value him enough. This comment is seen as a response to his recent replacement with other music directors like Thaman, Sam CS, and Ajaneesh Loknath for Pushpa 2.

Reports suggest that DSP’s involvement in concert tours caused delays in completing the background score for Pushpa 2, prompting the production house, Mythri Movie Makers, to make the decision to part ways with him. This strained their relationship further, leading to an awkward situation during the event, where the producer was seated in the front row.

DSP also addressed the issue directly, stating that he prefers to speak openly rather than keep things hidden, justifying his remarks as a form of expression. Additionally, the producers replaced DSP with G.V. Prakash Kumar for their Tamil film Good Bad Ugly starring Ajith, further signaling a shift away from their previous collaboration with DSP.

This public fallout has surprised the Pushpa 2 team and its producers, creating an uncomfortable dynamic. It remains to be seen how this controversy unfolds in future events
