Tamil filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, initially set to collaborate with Ajith for a project that didn’t materialize, is now helming an ambitious sci-fi entertainer titled Love Insurance Kompany (LIK). Starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead, the film promises a futuristic narrative. During a recent roundtable discussion, Vignesh Shivan disclosed an intriguing detail about the movie’s casting and production challenges.
He revealed that Sivakarthikeyan was originally considered for the lead role in LIK. However, the project faced hurdles due to its high-budget futuristic theme. The producer suggested adapting the story to a present-day setting to manage costs, but Vignesh stood firm on preserving his vision, stating, “If someone asks you to make Baahubali in the present time, how can you do it?”
Now bankrolled by Nayanthara and Seven Screen Studio, Love Insurance Kompany features Krithi Shetty as the female lead, with SJ Suryah in a pivotal role. The music is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander, adding to the excitement surrounding the film.
