Folk singer Darshanam Mogilayya, aged 67, who gained recognition for his contribution to the hit film Balagam (2023), has sadly passed away this morning at a hospital in Hyderabad. Mogilayya, known for his distinctive voice, featured in the film’s final song, which became a significant highlight of the movie.
The veteran singer had been struggling with kidney and heart-related ailments for some time. Despite receiving advanced treatment and support from the Telangana government, Megastar Chiranjeevi, and Balagam director Venu Yeldandi, Mogilayya could not overcome his health challenges.
The passing of Mogilayya has left a void in the industry. Balagam presenter Dil Raju, director Venu Yeldandi, and many others have expressed their heartfelt condolences. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
