Viduthalai 2: Runtime Reduced Ahead of Release

Date:

Vetrimaaran, known for his powerful portrayal of oppression, is all set to release his much-awaited sequel, Viduthalai 2, this Friday. While the first part focused on Soori’s character, the sequel shifts the spotlight to Vijay Sethupathi’s role, with Manju Warrier playing a significant part.

Like the first installment, Viduthalai 2 has been awarded an A certificate by the censor board. Initially, the runtime was locked at 172 minutes (2 hours and 52 minutes), but a recent update reveals that the director has trimmed it by 8 minutes, bringing the final runtime to 164 minutes (2 hours and 44 minutes).

In a video, Vetrimaaran explained that the decision to shorten the film came after reviewing the final cut. He expressed his gratitude to the cast and crew for their hard work and described the process as a valuable learning experience. Vetrimaaran concluded, “It’s been a long journey, and I am thankful to everyone involved. I can only speak about the efforts put in, and it’s for the audience to judge the film.”
