A teaser poster was released today, building anticipation for the grand reveal.
In a gesture of goodwill toward his close friend Mohan Babu, Prabhas worked for free, foregoing any fees for his role. His portions were shot in swift schedules at Ramoji Film City, allowing the project to wrap up quickly. This role marks a refreshing change for Prabhas fans, showcasing a side of the actor that’s different from his usual action-packed roles.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa features Manchu Vishnu in the titular role, while other notable actors including Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, and Brahmanandam play pivotal supporting roles. Special cameos will be made by renowned stars such as Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal, adding to the film’s star power. Produced by Mohan Babu, Kannappa is slated for release on April 25th, 2025, and will be available in all Indian languages, catering to a wide audience base.
