Geetha Govindam Pirates Still in Jail; Bunny Vas Issues Stern Warning to Thandel Pirates

Date:

Piracy continues to plague the Indian film industry, and the latest victim is Thandel, the recently released pan-India romantic drama starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. Shockingly, an HD version of the film surfaced online on the very day of its theatrical release, dealing a significant blow to the team’s hard work. The situation escalated further when a local cable channel illegally aired the movie on Saturday, intensifying concerns over copyright violations.

Addressing the issue, Thandel producer Bunny Vas expressed his outrage and assured strict action against the culprits. He cited the Geetha Govindam piracy case as a precedent, reminding everyone that several individuals arrested in that case are still serving jail time. “Some are still behind bars, while others have spent years entangled in legal battles. We will not spare those responsible for pirating or watching pirated copies of Thandel,” he asserted. “For the past two days, we have been celebrating the film’s success, but now, we will take decisive steps against piracy.”

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel beautifully portrays the love story of Raju, a fisherman, and Sathya, a village girl. The film has been lauded for Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s exceptional performances, while Devi Sri Prasad’s soulful music has added to its appeal. Despite the piracy setback, Thandel continues to receive immense love from audiences across the country.
