Allu Arjun is making strategic moves following the phenomenal success of Pushpa 2, which reportedly grossed around 1800 crores worldwide. While he was initially set to collaborate with director Trivikram, delays in that project have led him to greenlight a massive pan-India action film with director Atlee.
Interestingly, this film was originally scripted for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. However, due to budget constraints and Salman’s declining commercial viability, the project did not materialize. Now, with Allu Arjun stepping in, the movie has been restructured as a period action drama, set to be one of the most ambitious ventures in his career.
A major highlight of this project is the addition of a key role, for which the makers are in discussions with a top Tamil star. Recent industry buzz suggests that Sivakarthikeyan is being considered for the part. Currently busy with his film Parashakti, he has reportedly been asked to wrap up his commitments by May, further fueling speculation that he might share screen space with Allu Arjun. If this casting materializes, the combination of Bunny’s mass appeal and Sivakarthikeyan’s impeccable comic timing could create a blockbuster impact in both the Telugu and Tamil markets.
Apart from Sivakarthikeyan’s potential inclusion, the makers are also looking for a senior star to portray Allu Arjun’s father in the film. Initial approaches to Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan did not work out, leaving Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Mohanlal, and Mammootty as the prime candidates. With each of these actors commanding a box office market of 80-100 crores, their addition would significantly boost the film’s pan-Indian appeal. While Chiranjeevi seems like a perfect fit, his tight schedule could pose a challenge.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is reportedly undergoing specialized training abroad on Atlee’s recommendation to prepare for his role. Unlike many big-budget films that face prolonged delays, Bunny has laid down a strict condition for Atlee: the project must be completed within a year to ensure timely execution.
With all these exciting developments, this upcoming Allu Arjun-Atlee collaboration is shaping up to be a landmark project in Indian cinema. Fans eagerly await official announcements regarding the cast, shooting schedules, and release dates.
