Superstar Rajinikanth is collaborating with acclaimed director TJ Gnanavel on the film “Vettaiyan.” In this action drama, Rajinikanth plays the role of a cop. The film is set to release worldwide on October 10th, the same day as NTR’s pan-Indian film “Devara.” Both movies are poised to benefit from the Dasara holiday season.
“Vettaiyan” features a stellar cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan in prominent roles. Following the huge success of “Jailer,” Rajinikanth has increased his remuneration for this project. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film’s music and background score are composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Next, Rajinikanth will begin shooting for “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which revolves around the gold smuggling mafia.
