Tollywood star Nagarjuna has finally enjoyed a commercial success with “Naa Saami Ranga” this year. During the film’s success meet, he promised to release his next film for the upcoming Sankranthi. However, as of now, he has not signed any new project, with “Kubera,” co-starring Dhanush and directed by Sekhar Kammula, being his only film in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, the Sankranthi season is already shaping up to be highly competitive. Chiranjeevi’s “Vishwambhara” has been confirmed as a Sankranthi release. Additionally, Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi are collaborating again for a film set to release during the same festive season. Ravi Teja’s next film with Sree Leela, tentatively titled #RT75 and produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, is also targeting a Sankranthi release. Adding to the lineup, Tamil actor Ajith’s film with Mythri Movie Makers, “Good, Bad, and Ugly,” is also eyeing this season.
Given this jam-packed schedule, it appears unlikely that Nagarjuna will be able to release a solo film during the Sankranthi season next year. With “Kubera” slated for a summer release, it remains to be seen how Nagarjuna will respond to this crowded festive lineup.
