The Tamil film “Viduthalai,” starring Soori, became a massive blockbuster and was also released in Telugu as “Vidudhala.” Directed by Vetrimaaran, the film featured Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. The sequel to this cop action drama has been in development for an extended period.
In the first installment, Vijay Sethupathi had limited screen time, but in “Viduthalai 2,” he will have a full-length role. In a recent interview, Sethupathi revealed that his character will include a love track with Manju Warrier playing his love interest. He also mentioned that he requested the director to keep the love scenes intact in the final cut.
Due to the success of the first part, the makers have increased the scale and budget for the sequel, causing some delays. The film is a joint production by RS Infotainment and Grassroot Film Company, featuring Bhavani Sre, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajeev Menon, and Chethan in significant roles. Music for the film is composed by Ilaiyaraaja
