Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film OG is already making waves before it even hits the screens. The movie is riding a wave of strong advance bookings—with preliminary numbers pointing toward ₹100 crore in pre-sales before the actual showtimes begin.
So far, reports indicate about ₹45 crore worth of bookings within India (including premieres) and overseas pre-sales equivalent to $3.5 million, combining to cross the ₹75 crore mark. As more multiplexes and national chains open their bookings, insiders expect that momentum will push the total to the ₹100 crore threshold.
This marks a major milestone for OG — if it achieves the ₹100 crore figure before shows begin, it will become one of the rare Telugu films to cross that barrier. The film is already outperforming the advance figures of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which had an opening of ₹70 crore.
If word-of-mouth (WOM) from premieres is positive, the Day 1 box office numbers are expected to be among the highest in Tollywood history and likely the largest in Pawan Kalyan’s career by a significant margin.
