Tamil movie fans were very happy when the sequel of 96, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha, was announced. But now, it seems they will be disappointed, as the sequel is reportedly dropped.
The original film, directed by Prem Kumar, was a big hit in Kollywood. A few months ago, the director and his team had announced that a sequel was in the works.
However, there are reports of some creative differences within the team, which may have led to the decision to cancel the sequel. Prem Kumar’s recent announcement about his next projects does not mention the second part of 96, confirming that the sequel is no longer planned.
Prem Kumar’s upcoming projects include:
- An adventure survival drama with nine characters.
- An action thriller starring Fahadh Faasil.
- A love story film without a heroine.
Since the 96 sequel is not on this list, it is now confirmed that the film will not happen. Fans who were looking forward to the continuation of the story will have to wait for the director’s new projects.
