Today, Mohanlal took to social media to announce the completion of shooting for Hridayapoorvam. If this film also succeeds, Mohanlal will become the first senior actor in recent times to deliver three consecutive hits in a single calendar year. While legends like Mammootty have achieved similar feats in Malayalam cinema, no other senior actor in South India or across the country has managed to release films this rapidly. Hridayapoorvam is a family drama directed by Sathyan Anthikad, with a screenplay by Sonu T. P., based on a story by Anthikad’s son, Akhil Sathyan. The film is scheduled for a grand release on August 28th, coinciding with the festive season.
In addition to these projects, Mohanlal will appear in Kannappa in a limited role, which will also count as a release this year. Beyond that, he is actively working on several other films, including Vrushabha, Ram, and another untitled Malayalam project.
