Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule Surpasses USD 2 Million on Opening Day Overseas

Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is all set to storm theaters on December 5. The highly awaited sequel has already generated massive buzz and is predicted to be a ‘mega blockbuster’ by trade analysts even before its release. Several records are expected to be shattered, and the film’s digital and satellite rights were sold for a record-breaking price, making headlines months ago.

In terms of box office performance, Pushpa 2 is already setting new records. As reported by Sacnilk, the film has crossed USD 2 million in overseas pre-sales for its opening day, with over USD 1.80 million in North America alone. This includes USD 1.6 million from premiere bookings. The total advance bookings in North America have reached over USD 2 million, making it the fastest-ever for an Indian film, with a week still remaining before the release.

Pushpa 2 has also seen strong pre-sales across other international markets. In the UK, it has amassed over USD 230,000 for the opening day, while the Gulf region has contributed around USD 80,000, and Australia along with other markets has added another USD 215,000. The total overseas pre-sales for the film have reached USD 2.30 million (approximately Rs 19.50 crores).

Trade experts are forecasting a massive opening for Pushpa 2, with estimates of a Rs 50 crore opening day in India alone. North America is poised for a record-setting USD 3 million opening, which will rank among the biggest for any Indian film.

Meanwhile, the film has received its U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with minor adjustments made to a few dialogues and scenes, including muting three expletives. With its record-breaking pre-sales and high expectations, Pushpa 2: The Rule is all set to dominate the global box office when it releases next week.
