Controversial astrologer Venu Swamy is once again in the spotlight. Shortly after the engagement of film stars Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, Venu Swamy took to Instagram to share a video where he made a prediction about the couple’s future. He controversially claimed that their relationship would end in 2027 due to the involvement of another woman. This prediction has sparked outrage among netizens, who have been relentlessly trolling Venu Swamy for his insensitivity toward the newly engaged couple.
In response to the backlash, Venu Swamy released another video in an attempt to quell the criticism. He clarified that his prediction about Chay and Sobhita was merely a continuation of his earlier prediction regarding Chay and Samantha’s future after their wedding a few years ago. “I had vowed to never predict the futures of film stars and politicians, and I intend to keep that promise. MAA President Manchu Vishnu spoke to me, and I assured him that I will no longer make predictions about film stars,” Venu Swamy stated.
Meanwhile, the Telugu Film Journalist Association (TFJA) has lodged a police complaint against Venu Swamy for his insensitive remarks about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala. It’s worth noting that Venu Swamy announced in June 2024 that he would stop making predictions about politicians after his forecast of YS Jagan’s victory in the general elections proved to be inaccurate.
