Bigg Boss Telugu 8 has successfully completed eight weeks and is now entering its ninth. Last week’s unexpected elimination of Mehboob left the housemates and viewers in shock. This season began with 14 contestants, and so far, Bezawada Bebakka, RJ Sekhar Basha, Abhay Naveen, Sonia Akula, Aditya Om, Nainika, Kirak Seetha, and Naga Manikantha have been eliminated. This week saw Mehboob’s exit amidst dramatic developments.
The Week 9 nominations were intense, with five contestants rumored to be on the list. In a twist, Bigg Boss granted Vishnupriya, the house’s mega chief, the sole power to nominate five contestants she deemed unfit for survival, citing reasons for each. Following Bigg Boss’s instructions, Vishnupriya nominated Gautham, Prerana, Nayani Pavani, Tasty Teja, and Nabeel, sending them to the in-house jail. Notably, she didn’t hesitate to nominate Gautham and Nabeel, despite their past support in helping her become the mega chief.
Bigg Boss then added a twist by introducing keys to the jail, allowing contestants who obtained them to save one nominee and replace them with another. Contestants could only handle the keys once, and Vishnupriya was barred from participating. First, Prithvi saved Nabeel, nominating Avinash in his place. Yashmi then saved Prerana, replacing her with Hariteja. Rohini saved Avinash and put Prithvi in jail. Finally, Avinash saved Tasty Teja and nominated Yashmi, while Prerana saved Prithvi and re-nominated Tasty Teja. With this, Bigg Boss concluded the nominations for Week 9, finalizing Gautham Krishna, Yashmi Gowda, Tasty Teja, Nayani Pavani, and Hariteja.
According to unofficial online voting trends, Yashmi Gowda leads the vote with 32% support. Gautham Krishna holds second place with 27.19%, followed by Tasty Teja at 20.16%, Nayani Pavani with 17.45%, and Hariteja in last with 12.56%, placing her in the danger zone. With plenty of time left for voting, it remains to be seen how the rankings will shift.
