Currently, NTR is fully occupied with War 2, where he shares screen space with Hrithik Roshan in what promises to be a pan-India blockbuster. Following this, he is set to begin his much-anticipated project with KGF and Salaar director Prashanth Neel, which is reportedly kicking off tomorrow. Given Neel’s track record of crafting larger-than-life characters, expectations are sky-high for this collaboration.
NTR is expected to dedicate nearly two years to Neel’s film, from 2025 until the latter half of 2026. As a result, Devara 2 might only commence by late 2026, potentially pushing its release to 2027 or even 2028.
This situation raises an intriguing question—after witnessing NTR in an intense, power-packed role in Neel’s film, will audiences be as eager to see him return for Devara 2? Many fans felt that Devara Part 1 underutilized NTR, with his character lacking the impact they had hoped for.
