Ramoji Rao, the influential head of ETV Network and Ramoji Film City, passed away this morning while receiving treatment in Hyderabad. He was 87 years old. His death has prompted an outpouring of condolences from numerous celebrities on social media.
TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu expressed his sorrow in a tweet, highlighting the strong bond they shared over four decades. Rao had been a steadfast supporter of Naidu during challenging times. Naidu is scheduled to pay his respects to the media tycoon.
The soon-to-be Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will arrive in Hyderabad at 11:30 AM, proceeding directly to Ramoji Rao’s residence. The final rites, set to be conducted with full state honors, will take place tomorrow following the arrival of Rao’s grandson from the USA.
