Welcoming Their Baby Girl
The couple, known for their chemistry in hits like Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and 83, welcomed their daughter just one day after Deepika was admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai. Announcing the arrival of their baby girl on Instagram, they posted, “Welcome Baby Girl! 8.9.2024.”
The heartwarming announcement saw an outpouring of congratulations from Bollywood. Alia Bhatt showered the post with hearts, while Arjun Kapoor wrote, “Laxmi aayi hai!!! The queen is here.” Ananya Panday also joined in, writing, “Baby girl! A New Chapter for Deepika and Ranveer
Ahead of welcoming their little one, Deepika (38) and Ranveer (39) were spotted at Siddhivinayak Temple offering prayers on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi. The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate Lake Como ceremony in 2018, first announced their pregnancy in February. Speculation about the pregnancy arose earlier in the year when Deepika appeared to subtly conceal her baby bump at the 77th BAFTA Awards, where she was a presenter.
As fans revel in the couple’s joy, they can also look forward to a special appearance by Deepika and Ranveer in Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty and headlined by Ajay Devgn, which hit theaters on Friday.
