NTR and Koratala Siva’s action drama Devara, which hit theaters worldwide on September 27, 2024, and became a blockbuster, is now gearing up for its Japanese release. This marks NTR’s solo outing as a lead hero after a six-year gap since Aravinda Sametha in 2018.
Devara is slated to release in Japan on March 28, 2025. Telugu films have been gaining popularity in Japan, with RRR leading the charge by grossing over ₹100 crore and creating a significant fanbase for NTR and Ram Charan in the region.

Meanwhile, another major Telugu film, Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas and directed by Nag Ashwin, is also set for its Japanese release next week, adding to the excitement surrounding Indian films in the Japanese market.
