Did Pakistan Really Declare Salman Khan a Terrorist? Here’s What We Know

Date:

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again found himself at the center of a social media storm — this time involving a viral claim that Pakistan has declared him a “terrorist.” The shocking allegation has been circulating widely online, leaving fans confused and eager to know the truth. But how much of this is real, and how much is just online rumor? Let’s take a closer look.

Recently, during his interaction at the Joy Forum 2025 held in Riyadh, Salman Khan mentioned that people from different countries — including Afghanistan, Balochistan, and Pakistan — were working together in the region. While it appeared to be a simple statement celebrating diversity, it quickly became controversial after several social media users misinterpreted it.

Following his remark, some online posts claimed that the Government of Pakistan had listed Salman Khan under the 4th Schedule of the country’s Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, labeling him as an “Azad Balochistan Facilitator.” Screenshots of what appeared to be an official notification began circulating widely on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook.

However, as per credible reports from multiple sources, including Gulte.com and Times of India, there has been no official confirmation from any Pakistani government authority or verified media outlet about such a declaration. The alleged notification being shared online is unverified, and experts have called its authenticity “highly questionable.”

So far, neither the Pakistani government nor any official agency has released a statement confirming this supposed action against Salman Khan. The viral document has not been found on any government portal or official gazette, further suggesting that it could be fake or part of a misinformation campaign.

The controversy seems to have emerged from a misinterpretation of Salman’s comment on Balochistan. The region has long been a politically sensitive area, with ongoing discussions about separatist movements and human rights issues. Even a casual mention of the word “Balochistan” often triggers strong reactions online, especially across borders.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan has not commented publicly on the issue. His fans, however, have come forward in his defense, calling the news “fake” and demanding people verify sources before spreading such rumors.

At this point, it’s clear that the reports claiming Salman Khan was officially declared a terrorist by Pakistan lack any credible evidence. Until there is a verified government announcement, this story remains an unconfirmed online rumor.

In an era where fake news spreads faster than facts, it’s crucial for readers to check sources before believing sensational claims — especially when they involve prominent personalities like Salman Khan.
