Did SKN Criticize Vaishnavi Chaitanya?

Producer SKN’s remarks at the Dragon (also known as Return of the Dragon in Telugu) pre-release event sparked controversy. His comments were widely interpreted as an indirect jab at Telugu actress Vaishnavi Chaitanya, with whom he worked on the successful film Baby The Movie. Although SKN did not name anyone specifically, his words left little room for ambiguity.

While welcoming actress Kayadu Lohar, who starred alongside Pradeep Ranganathan in Dragon and Anupama Parameswaran, SKN made a statement that seemed to target Vaishnavi. He said, “We love girls who don’t know Telugu more than girls who know Telugu… Because we have experienced what would happen if we encourage Telugu girls.” This remark was quickly understood by fans and netizens as a criticism of Vaishnavi Chaitanya.

The statement appears to stem from an underlying issue. SKN, who produced Baby, a huge box-office success directed by Sai Rajesh, had announced plans for another film with the same cast and crew. However, for reasons that remain unclear, the project was shelved. In the meantime, Vaishnavi and Baby lead Anand Devarakonda signed on for a new project with Sithara Entertainments, a sequel to a popular 90’s web series, and recently revealed the title glimpse.

SKN’s comments now hint at some possible tension between the actress and the producers, though the exact nature of the disagreement is still unknown. The situation has raised questions about the future of these relationships, and fans are waiting to see how things unfold.
