Ram Pothineni and director Puri Jagannadh are teaming up again for the highly anticipated sequel to their blockbuster hit, iSmart Shankar. The latest update from the filmmakers reveals that “Double iSmart” is scheduled to hit theaters on Independence Day, August 15.
Taking advantage of the extended weekend, which includes Rakshabandhan on the following Monday, the movie is set for a grand release. The dynamic release date poster features Ram in an intense, powerful look with three horizontal Vibhooti lines on his forehead. The backdrop includes a Shiva Lingam and a flambeau, indicating a significant theme in the film. This also confirms that Pushpa 2 will not be releasing on the same day.
The film stars Sanjay Dutt as the main antagonist and Kavya Thapar as the female lead. Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects banner, Double iSmart will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
