The official sequel to Puri Jagannadh’s blockbuster ‘Ismart Shankar,’ titled ‘Double iSmart,’ is currently in the making. Starring Ram Pothineni in the lead role and featuring Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role, the film has generated significant anticipation. Recently, the makers announced that the film will release on Independence Day, August 15th this year.
The team behind ‘Double iSmart’ is looking to sell the film at a premium rate, quoting around 50 crores for the Telugu states. The substantial budget of ‘Double iSmart’ is driving this high valuation. However, there is cautious optimism among the makers, given the underwhelming performance of Puri Jagannadh’s previous film ‘Liger,’ which was a significant disappointment for both the director and actor Vijay Deverakonda.
