Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan, was one of the most anticipated movies of Mollywood. It is the awaited sequel to Lucifer which was released in 2019. The movie is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.It is a political, action drama which has all the elements in it.
The movie also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrajith Sukumaran, and others in supporting roles. Antony Perumbavoor, Lyca Subaskaran, and Gokulam Gopalan jointly bankrolled this movie. The movie created a lot of hype. The audience also got a full dose of entertainment.
Empuraan has earned Rs. 325 crores from its theatrical and non-theatrical revenues. the theatrical revenue being nearly Rs. 265 crores. It was revealed by Mohanlal on his social media handles. This is a solid feat for a Malayalam film. Empuraan will have its digital premiere on April 24 on Disney Plus Hotstar in multiple languages.
