Ram Charan’s highly anticipated Sankranti release, Game Changer, has opened to disappointing reviews and mixed word of mouth. While the film managed a decent opening day, it experienced a significant drop in collections across the Telugu states on Day 2, earning just around ₹8 crores. Day 3 saw an even further decline, indicating weak traction among audiences. Adding to its struggles, the arrival of Daaku Maharaaj further dented its performance.
Despite the festive season, Game Changer failed to witness the expected surge in collections. With the film’s current trajectory, buyers are anxiously hoping for an improvement in the coming days. A strong uptick during the festive period is critical to minimize losses.
As of now, Game Changer’s Telugu states’ total share stands at ₹54.5 crores, while the worldwide share has reached ₹72 crores. However, with the theatrical rights valued at ₹165 crores, the overall recovery rate remains at just 44%.
With Sankranthiki Vasthunnam releasing today amidst extremely positive buzz, Game Changer will need to hold its ground in the days ahead to safeguard the buyers’ investments and avoid substantial losses.
