However, controversy struck when the makers released a poster claiming a massive 186 crores gross on the first day, exaggerating the actual figures by a shocking 100 crores.
While it’s common for producers to inflate box office numbers by 10–20%, the Game Changer team’s move to more than double the reported collections has left netizens in disbelief. This unusual projection has sparked criticism, with many pointing out that such tactics might backfire, creating unnecessary negativity around the film and its star.
Interestingly, Ram Charan once stated during the promotions of Rangasthalam that he prefers producers to avoid publicizing box office figures, as it often leads to needless disputes among fans. It appears that the Game Changer team’s attempt to project a record-breaking opening may have done more harm than good.
