In a swift operation on Sunday, Zaheerabad police apprehended a woman accused of kidnapping one of the twin girls she had been caring for in Madannapet.
The parents of the twin girls had taken one of their children to the hospital due to fever, leaving the other child under the supervision of caretaker Shahjahana Begum. Upon their return, they discovered Shahjahana and the child missing.
Promptly reporting the incident to Madannapet police, authorities reviewed CCTV footage which showed Shahjahana Begum boarding a bus bound for Zaheerabad from the Mahatma Gandhi bus station at Imlibun.
Upon receiving the alert from Madannapet police, Zaheerabad authorities swiftly apprehended the woman as soon as the bus arrived in Zaheerabad. The child was safely reunited with her parents following the arrest.
