It’s Complicated: Rana Daggubati Unveils Siddu Jonnalagadda’s Unexpected Demand

Siddu Jonnalagadda, Shraddha Srinath, Seerat Kapoor, and Shalini Vadnikatti’s romantic comedy Krishna and His Leela originally skipped its theatrical release and debuted directly on Netflix in June 2020 during the Covid pandemic. Now, the film is making a comeback under a new title, It’s Complicated, and is gearing up for its first-ever theatrical release on February 14, 2025, as a special Valentine’s Day treat.

As part of the film’s promotions, lead actor Siddu Jonnalagadda, producer Rana Daggubati, and director Ravikanth Perepu interacted with the media. During the conversation, Rana revealed an interesting condition that Siddu had placed before agreeing to another project with him. “I wanted to produce a new movie with Siddu Jonnalagadda, but he insisted that I first re-release Krishna and His Leela in theatres before taking up a new project,” Rana shared. He further clarified that this is not just a re-release but rather It’s Complicated getting its long-awaited theatrical debut.

Speaking at the event, Siddu Jonnalagadda expressed his excitement about seeing the audience’s response to the film in cinemas. When asked about the box office clash with his friend Vishwak Sen’s Laila, which is also hitting screens on February 14, Siddu dismissed the idea of competition. “Laila is a brand-new film, while It’s Complicated is getting its first theatrical release after a digital run. So, there’s no real clash between the two,” he explained.

With its fresh theatrical run, It’s Complicated promises to offer a fun-filled romantic comedy experience for moviegoers this Valentine’s Day. Stay tuned for more updates!
