Tollywood’s renowned choreographer Jani Master is currently embroiled in a serious controversy, facing charges of sexual assault under the POCSO Act. The Rangareddy Court recently dismissed his bail petition in connection with the sexual harassment case. Jani Master, who is now residing in Chanchalguda jail, had been granted anticipatory bail to attend the National Awards event. However, following the allegations, the Committee canceled his award, prompting him to withdraw his bail request.
The case emerged when a young female choreographer approached Hyderabad police, accusing Jani Master of sexual harassment. She claimed that the abuse had been ongoing for years, beginning when she was a minor. This led to the filing of a case under the POCSO Act, and an investigation was launched. Jani Master initially fled Hyderabad but was traced to Goa and subsequently brought back to Hyderabad. The incident has sent shockwaves across Tollywood, with the once-successful choreographer being replaced in several big-budget films as a result of the controversy.
