Tollywood has recently delivered the epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, featuring stars like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. This mytho-sci-fi film, directed by the young sensation Nag Ashwin, has become a stupendous hit, grossing over Rs. 1000 crore worldwide.
Today, the makers released a special video featuring Amitabh Bachchan, who played Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD. He expressed his deep gratitude to everyone who supported the film, making it a monumental success. He remarked that the immense appreciation, love, and affection the film received is truly deserving of its value, surpassing a thousand crores.
Big B thanked the Vyjayanthi Movies banner, especially Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt, for believing in the project, and Nag Ashwin for his extraordinary vision for Kalki 2898 AD. He also expressed his gratitude to the entire cast and crew, including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, for their support throughout the filming.
Amitabh Bachchan added, “For Prabhas, this may be routine, as many of his films cross this thousand-crore mark. But for me, I am truly indebted and very grateful to be part of this grand concept called Kalki. I am at a loss for words to express how much I have enjoyed the film. For those who may not know, I’ve already seen the film four times. I’ve invited some of my guests to the theatre, the IMAX, to experience the film’s perfect effect. Each time, I discovered something new, something I may have missed on the first viewing. For me, this film has not just been another acting job; it has been a great education in our culture and Indian mythology, beautifully brought to life by Nagi.”
