Legendary actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan has impressed fans with his portrayal of Supreme Yaskin, the god of the Complex, in the newly released sci-fi thriller “Kalki 2898 AD.” In a recent media interaction, Kamal revealed that his role in this film is brief but will have more screen time in “Kalki Part 2.”
He praised director Nag Ashwin for blending mythology and science fiction with immense patience. Kamal, initially unsure about doing justice to the role, eventually accepted it as a fan of cinema.
“Kalki 2898 AD” features Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and others in key roles, and is produced by Ashwini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner. The soundtrack is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film grossed Rs 191.50 crore globally on its release day, with a formal announcement on “Kalki Part 2” awaited.
