This morning, the esteemed Kollywood actor and leader of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) party, Vijayakanth, passed away at the age of 71 due to complications from Covid-19.
Having undergone treatment for health issues at a private hospital in Chennai last month, Vijayakanth tested positive for COVID-19. He was subsequently admitted to MIOT International Hospital in Chennai a couple of days ago. Despite putting up a brave fight against the disease, he has now found peace.
