Komatireddy Condemns Attack on Allu Arjun, Urges Against Politicizing the Issue

Date:

On Sunday evening, a group of individuals, allegedly affiliated with the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC), vandalized the residence of actor Allu Arjun. The attackers demanded that the actor compensate Rs. 25 lakhs to the family of Mrs. Revathi, who tragically lost her life in a stampede during the Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere event at Sandhya 70mm theater on December 4.

Responding to the incident, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took to social media platform X to denounce the attack on Allu Arjun. Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkatareddy also expressed his disapproval of the assault. Accompanied by Pushpa 2 producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, the minister visited Mrs. Revathi’s son, Sritej, who is currently receiving treatment at KIMS Cuddles. During the visit, the producers handed over a cheque of Rs. 50 lakhs to Revathi’s husband as financial assistance.

Addressing the media, Komatireddy Venkatareddy urged against politicizing the issue and assured strict action against those responsible for targeting celebrities. He also emphasized the commitment of the Telugu film industry to remain in Telangana amidst rumors of relocation.
