The wait is over as the grand launch of Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and ace director SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited film, tentatively titled SSMB29, is set to take place today. The launch ceremony is scheduled for 10 AM at the Aluminium Factory in Hyderabad, with Mahesh Babu, Rajamouli, and key members of the cast and crew in attendance.
Adding to the excitement, reports reveal that SSMB29 will be a two-part franchise, a thrilling update for fans of this iconic actor-director duo. The globe-trotting jungle adventure’s first part is slated to commence filming in April this year, with its theatrical release planned for 2027. The second installment will follow in 2029. With an unprecedented budget of ₹1,000 crore, SSMB29 is Rajamouli’s most ambitious project yet, having already devoted over two years to its development.
After the global success of RRR, Rajamouli’s reputation has soared internationally. The visionary director is in talks with leading Hollywood studios to ensure SSMB29 secures a wide global release. Produced by veteran filmmaker KL Narayana, the film’s soundtrack will be crafted by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, promising a musical masterpiece.
