The family drama at veteran actor Manchu Mohan Babu’s residence in Jalpally, Pahadi Shareef, took a new turn on Tuesday, with his younger son, Manchu Manoj, accusing the police of siding with his father in the ongoing dispute. Manoj, accompanied by his wife Bhuma Mounika Reddy, addressed the media for the first time regarding the issue, stating, “It is wrong for this to happen while my children are at home. My wife and children are left unprotected. I had to bring in bouncers for their safety, but the police made them leave. I requested protection, but instead, my supporters are being threatened. The police are showing bias.”
Manoj emphasized that his fight was not over money or property but for his self-respect. “I will meet with anyone seeking justice for me and my family,” he added.
Earlier, Mohan Babu had written a letter to the Rachakonda Police Commissioner, claiming he was facing a threat to his life from Manoj and requesting protection. In response, Manoj filed a counter-complaint with the Pahadi Shareef police, alleging that ten unidentified individuals had trespassed into his home, assaulted him, and taken the CCTV hard drives. He also asked for police protection, citing a threat to his life.
