Malayalam cinema’s most violent film, Marco, is now available for streaming on Sony LIV in all major Indian languages, including Telugu. Directed by Haneef Adeni, the action-packed thriller stars Unni Mukundan in the lead role.
Many fans eagerly anticipated the OTT release, hoping it would feature an uncut version with additional blood and intense gore, amplifying the film’s raw appeal. However, the makers have officially stated that due to complaints submitted to the Ministry of Broadcasting, they were unable to release the uncut version.
In a statement, the production team emphasized their commitment to regulatory compliance, stating, “As a responsible production house, we have adhered to all guidelines while ensuring the film’s essence remains intact.” As a result, the OTT version remains identical to the theatrical release.
This announcement has left many fans disappointed, particularly after Unni Mukundan himself had hinted at an uncut version. Nevertheless, Marco still offers a gripping cinematic experience, boasting a stellar supporting cast, including Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, and Yukti Tareja.
