Mirai Movie Trailer Creates Buzz with Rama Character Reveal

Date:

In the upcoming film Mirai, the makers have introduced something intriguing in the recent trailer: the character of Rama appears, but not in the conventional way. While viewers had long speculated about who plays Rama, it turns out this figure shown at the trailer’s end is not portrayed by a human actor at all, but created using technology.

The movie, produced under People Media Factory with TG Viswaprasad as producer and co-produced by Kruthi Prasad, features Teja Sajja in a lead role. Actor Manchu Manoj appears as the antagonist. Originally scheduled for release on September 5, Mirai has now been pushed to September 12.

When the trailer dropped, many spotted the Rama figure and assumed multiple actors were involved. But the production team has revealed that character is entirely generated through digital means. Fans have expressed surprise—and some confusion—over the use of such techniques for a traditionally revered character. Questions about how this Rama figure will be presented onscreen are being widely discussed among the audience.

During the “Big Ticket” event held in Visakhapatnam, the Mirai team shared insights about the film. Teja Sajja remarked that the aim was to introduce an entirely new universe—one combining action, adventure, and unexpected elements to engage audiences of all ages. The hopes are high that Mirai will impress both children and adults.

Producer TG Viswaprasad also spoke about the challenges involved. He noted that bringing this kind of innovation to Telugu cinema is not simple; it requires effort and risk. When he first heard the director’s concept, he was told it was ambitious and unprecedented in the region. Yet the team pushed forward, motivated by the idea of offering something fresh to viewers.

All in all, Mirai is being positioned as a film that tries to stretch creative boundaries. Whether the use of such technology for Rama will enhance the storytelling or spark further debate remains to be seen once the movie hits theatres on September 12.
