Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz 3D, the most expensive film in his career and in Mollywood, has returned to the spotlight. With a massive budget of over ₹150 crore, the movie was released in multiple languages on December 25, 2024. However, it received mixed reviews during its theatrical run.
Now, Barroz is set to make its OTT debut. Disney Plus Hotstar has officially announced that the film will stream from January 22, 2025, in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada, with the Hindi version scheduled for a later release. While the theatrical release was in 3D, the OTT version will only be available in 2D, and the audience response to this shift remains to be seen.
