Naga Chaitanya is currently working on his biggest project to date, Thandel. This romantic entertainer, infused with patriotic elements, stars dancing sensation Sai Pallavi as the female lead. The film marks their second collaboration after the success of Love Story. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel is inspired by real-life incidents. Initially, the film was slated for a December 20 release.
However, Dil Raju, the producer of Game Changer, announced that his film would hit theaters during Christmas 2024, creating a potential conflict with Thandel’s release. As a result, Thandel’s release date is now uncertain. According to the latest buzz, the Thandel team will wait to finalize their release date. With 75% of the shoot completed, the filmmakers plan to break the pumpkin on November 30, signaling the end of the shooting phase.
Rumors suggest that if Game Changer is confirmed for a Christmas release, Thandel will be pushed to Sankranthi 2025. If Game Changer doesn’t make it to the Christmas season, Thandel will stick to its initial plan. Additionally, the team is considering a Shiva Rathri release if the Christmas and Sankranthi periods are too crowded.
