Naga Vamsi on YouTube Reviews: They’re for Entertainment, Not Influence

Date:

In a recent interview, renowned Telugu producer Naga Vamsi shared his thoughts on YouTube reviews, expressing that audiences view them more for entertainment than genuine influence. The Bheemla Nayak producer emphasized that social media critiques, including YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) reviews, shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Naga Vamsi stated, “If people are interested in a movie, they’ll buy a ticket and watch it. If not, they won’t. I don’t believe these YouTube or X reviews can sway people’s decisions. At most, only 1%-2% might be influenced.”

He further explained, “Viewers seem to enjoy these reviews for their entertainment value, particularly the sarcasm, rather than for any real influence. Reviews don’t drive people to see or skip a film—teasers and promotions do that.”

Vamsi also mentioned that post-COVID, audiences have a set opinion about films based on the promotional content. “If someone has already decided to watch a movie, they will, regardless of reviews.
