Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, the father of actor Nara Rohith and younger sibling of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, sadly passed away today following a cardiac arrest. Family members urgently took him to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad, where he was pronounced dead. Ramamurthy Naidu had been battling a prolonged critical illness.
A prominent figure in political circles, Nara Ramamurthy Naidu served as the MLA of the Chandragiri constituency in 1994. He shifted his political allegiance from the TDP to the Congress before the 2002 elections, later returning to the TDP. Due to health issues, he had been away from active politics in recent years.
Ramamurthy Naidu is survived by his two sons, Nara Rohith and Nara Girish. Recently, Nara Rohith got engaged to his Prathinidhi 2 co-star, Shireesha Lella, in October. Nara Ramamurthy Naidu’s final rites are scheduled for tomorrow (November 17) at his native village, Naravaripalle, in the Chittoor district.
