Top digital giant Netflix continues to expand its reach into the regional markets of Indian cinema, being highly selective with Indian films and web-based projects. Netflix is set to produce an exciting new web series featuring Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. The series will be directed by “Tillu Square” director Mallik Ram, with shooting scheduled to begin post-Dasara. Pre-production is currently underway, and an official announcement is expected soon.
Rajiv Chilaka, known for producing Allari Naresh’s recent film “Aa Okkati Adakku” and creating “Chhota Bheem,” will co-produce and execute the project alongside Netflix. Sundeep Kishan, who is currently filming Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s entertainer, is expected to complete his current project this year and then allocate bulk dates for the Netflix series. The shooting of the web series is expected to wrap up within six months, although details about the genre and backdrop are being kept under wraps.
