“HIT 3,” starring Nani, was released recently and received mixed reviews, ultimately performing as an average grosser at the box office. Despite this, director Sailesh Kolanu made bold statements post-release, claiming he had made a terrific film destined to be a blockbuster. He even criticized reviewers for their negative feedback, suggesting that only top filmmakers should evaluate his work, not regular critics.
These comments have now backfired, with social media users trolling him heavily. Netizens began pointing out numerous copied sequences in the film. Critics had already noted that parts of the movie’s second half seemed heavily inspired by the popular web series Squid Game and the film Gladiator.
Adding fuel to the fire, users have now identified scenes lifted from Hostel 3 and even a romantic sequence copied from a Telugu TV serial. The online community is ridiculing the director for these alleged plagiarisms, accusing him of borrowing heavily while making grand claims about originality.
