“Bollywood filmmaker and distributor Karan Johar holds the rights to the Dragon title. For those unaware, Dragon was initially intended for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s high-budget fantasy drama before it was changed to Brahmastra. Given that NTR and Prashanth Neel’s project is a PAN Indian entertainer, the makers wanted a universally appealing title. When Neel and NTR approached Karan Johar for the title rights, the Hindi filmmaker readily agreed,” the report revealed.
According to the report, there was no monetary exchange for the title. It was purely Karan Johar’s kind gesture, stemming from his good relationship with the Tollywood star.
