Pawan Kalyan Faces Criminal Case Over Remarks on Udayanidhi Stalin

Date:

A criminal case has been filed against actor-politician Pawan Kalyan by a lawyer based in Madurai, following his recent comments directed at Udayanidhi Stalin, the deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu. While Kalyan refrained from mentioning Udayanidhi by name, he criticized his comparison of Sanatana Dharma to diseases like Dengue and Malaria—a statement that has not sat well with the ruling DMK party in Tamil Nadu.

As one of the country’s most talked-about politicians, legal issues are nothing new for Pawan Kalyan. In addition to his latest remarks, he recently faced backlash for criticizing actor Karthi over his comments on the Tirupati laddu prasadam. Following Karthi’s apology, Kalyan extended his best wishes for Karthi’s upcoming release, Meiyazhagan (Satyam Sundaram).
