Piracy dealt a severe blow to Ram Charan and Shankar’s Game Changer, but there’s some relief as the culprit responsible for leaking the film has been apprehended by the authorities.
Swift Action by Authorities
H.V. Chalapathi Raju, Managing Director of M/S Copyright Safety Systems, along with his team, collaborated with the Gajuwaka Police and the Crime Clues Team under the Visakhapatnam Commissionerate. Their efforts led to the arrest of Appala Raju, a representative of AP Local TV, who was found guilty of pirating the film.
During the raid, the police seized all equipment used in the illegal activity. An FIR (22/2025) has been filed, and the accused was arrested. Authorities issued a stern warning, emphasizing that any future offenses will result in strict legal consequences.
Impact of Piracy on Game Changer
Piracy has been a persistent challenge for Game Changer since its release. Shockingly, pirated versions surfaced as early as the benefit shows and were distributed online, on buses, and even aired on a local TV channel in Vizag. The producers of the film, deeply concerned by these incidents, promptly lodged complaints with the cybercrime police to address the issue.
This decisive action serves as a reminder of the collective effort needed to combat piracy and protect the film industry from further losses.
