Prabhas fans across the twin Telugu states are in full celebration mode as several of his blockbuster films are being re-released on the eve of his birthday. Adding to the excitement, the stage is set for the grand re-release of Prabhas’ sci-fi mythological magnum opus, Kalki 2898 AD, in Russia.
Dubbed in Russian, Kalki 2898 AD is set to hit cinemas across Russia on November 1. Notably, the original version of this Nag Ashwin directorial earned approximately $1.64 million during its initial release, making it the highest-grossing Indian film in Russia this year. Following the tremendous success of the Baahubali franchise, particularly in Russia, Prabhas’ films have garnered increasing popularity in the country.
Also starring Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone, Kalki 2898 AD was produced by Ashwini Dutt. The film originally released worldwide on June 27, raking in over Rs 1,100 crore globally. Complemented by a captivating soundtrack from Santhosh Narayanan, the film continues to captivate audiences both in India and abroad.
